This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") is incorporated into and forms part of the Terms of Service of Silaar LLC ("Silaar," "we," "us," or "our"). Capitalized terms not defined here have the meaning given in the Terms. This AUP sets out the rules for using the Silaar API platform (the "Service").
1. Your Commitment to Lawful Use
You are solely responsible for the content and data you transmit, request, or display through the Service, and for your compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, including those concerning data protection, intellectual property, consumer protection, and export controls.
2. Permitted Uses
You may use the Service for lawful purposes, including:
- Building applications that retrieve publicly available e-commerce data;
- Research, analytics, and market intelligence for your own products or business;
- Integrating product, pricing, shipping, or review data into your storefront or tools;
- Personal, educational, and development use within your plan's quota.
3. Prohibited Uses
You agree not to use the Service, or assist anyone else in using the Service, to:
- Violate any applicable local, state, national, or international law or regulation;
- Infringe, misappropriate, or violate the intellectual property, privacy, publicity, or other rights of any person or entity;
- Distribute, store, or transmit malware, ransomware, viruses, or any other malicious or destructive code;
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to, disrupt, or overload the Service, its infrastructure, or any system or network connected to it (including denial-of-service, flooding, or port scanning);
- Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service or any related system;
- Circumvent, disable, tamper with, or exceed any authentication, security, rate-limit, quota, or usage restriction;
- Use the Service to build a competing product, or to offer standalone, resold access to the Service without our prior written authorization;
- Scrape, harvest, or aggregate data in a manner that violates a source platform's terms of service or applicable law;
- Use the Service to send unsolicited communications, spam, or any form of bulk messaging;
- Engage in any form of fraud, money laundering, or transaction laundering;
- Falsify or conceal your identity or affiliation, or mislead others about the origin of data;
- Collect or store personal data of individuals without a lawful basis;
- Facilitate or promote illegal goods, services, or activities; or
- Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to derive the source code, underlying ideas, or algorithms of the Service.
4. Security & Reporting
You must keep your credentials secure and report any suspected vulnerability or security incident immediately to security@silaar.com. We appreciate responsible disclosure and will not take legal action against good-faith security research that follows our disclosure guidelines.
5. Enforcement
We may investigate suspected violations and take action without notice, including: throttling or limiting your access, suspending or terminating your account and API keys, removing data, and reporting the matter to authorities. We may also recover any costs we incur as a result of your violation. Nothing in this AUP limits our other rights under the Terms or applicable law.
6. Revisions
We may revise this AUP at any time. The current version will always be posted here with an updated "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of the revised AUP.
