COOKIES & TRACKING
Cookie Policy
Last updated: June 23, 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how Silaar LLC ("we," "us," or "our") uses cookies and similar technologies (collectively, "cookies") on the Silaar API platform and related websites (the "Service"). This policy supplements our Privacy Policy.
1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work efficiently and to provide information to site owners. In addition to HTTP cookies, we may also use local storage and session tokens in your browser, which serve similar purposes.
2. Types of Cookies We Use
We use only essential and functional technologies. We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not sell data derived from cookies.
| Name / Type | Category | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| Authentication token (JWT) | Essential | Keeps you signed in and authenticates your session. | Session / limited |
| Session cookie | Essential | Identifies your active session for security. | Session |
| local storage – preferences | Functional | Remembers your dashboard tab, theme, and UI preferences. | Persistent |
| local storage – auth_token | Essential | Stores the JWT used to authenticate API/dashboard requests. | Persistent (until logout) |
3. Third-Party Cookies
When you make a payment, our payment processor Stripe may set its own cookies strictly necessary for fraud prevention and secure payment processing, in accordance with Stripe's own privacy policy. We do not control these cookies. We do not embed advertising networks, social-media trackers, or analytics cookies that profile you across other sites.
4. Managing & Deleting Cookies
You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to refuse cookies or alert you when cookies are being sent. Note that because our authentication relies on session tokens, disabling cookies/local storage may prevent you from logging in or using the dashboard.
- Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies
- Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Cookies
- Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions
5. "Do Not Track" Signals
Some browsers transmit a "Do Not Track" signal. There is currently no uniform industry standard for how to interpret these signals, so we do not currently respond to them. You can manage tracking through your browser's cookie controls as described above.
6. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here and revise the "Last updated" date. If we begin using materially different categories of cookies, we will provide notice.
